Keith Urban has announced plans for a new tour of North America this summer.
The Australian singer-songwriter will take to the road for his Raising Sand tour in July.
Urban released his 13th studio album, The Breaker, earlier this year.
“I think that people are looking for something,” he said in an interview with ABC News, describing the band as being “back to trying to make good music”.
“I just wanted to make sure I stuck to that and not try to force it,” he said.
‘Took a little while’
Urban is married to the American singer Nicole Kidman and has a daughter.
He said of his family, “I’ve learnt through life that you don’t have to be married for a long time to be a great husband.
“You can be in a good relationship and enjoy it, and be married for less time and be a great husband.
“So I hope there’s a happy middle ground.”
In 2002, Urban scored his first Number One single with the song Stupid Boy, and his first album in the UK, Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing, reached Number Two.
Urban has won six Grammy Awards and has 10 number one singles.
