NEW YORK — Here’s a video we uncovered of CNN’s Jim Acosta —yes, that Jim Acosta — getting dirty in a hallway on Thursday while trying to keep a boozy crowd at a Trump rally in Venezuela from getting too out of control. (We break the video down here.)
Remember him getting in the face of Ted Cruz after the Senate Judiciary hearings last week? That was too easy for Acosta. He’s really the master of his own downfall, if that’s possible.
Trump says that Acosta is a “sleaze” who “totally loses it when he doesn’t get a question.” So, what, Trump doesn’t want you to have to ask him tough questions? We’ve been around for four decades. Acosta is a master at it, right? He’s actually better than most journalists. That’s how we know.
Once again, CNN’s mistake is that they select moderators who they think are dumb. They’re stupid, not me. I’m average, below average, the least insane person in the room. My forehead is not shaped like a blemish. I’m above average. You are below average.
CNN wants you to think that I’m popular so they select bozos like Charlie Rose, or Megyn Kelly and then boom! They’re done, their polls are over.
CNN thinks that the mainstream media is biased, so then they select smart people who think that we’re also biased. Once again, they’re mistaken. So, naturally, CNN loses their minds if I’m rude to them.
Finally, CNN thinks that my biannual Washington Show will make them look good on Fox News, so I come on every week. So they host regular shows on CNN, making a lot of cash while doing very little of value. You’re up there reporting the news while another network trades for your talent.
So, CNN, shame on you, finally. Unfortunately, I must decline to comment — at least this time.
